Italy-based Ghanaian Jeffery revealed that his best friend planned for a gang to rob him when he visited Ghana in 2015 and even planned to kill him if he did not help him travel as promised.
In an SVTV Africa interview with DJ Nyaami, Jeffery recounted how his best friend planned for armed robbers to steal his belongings, but most of what they took was meant for him (friend).
“He wanted to travel abroad, and I advised him against it and even offered to help him expand his business. I stayed in his house when I came, and he had thieves steal everything I brought, including the package meant for him and his family.
The money I budgeted for the trip was on my card. He saw the little euros I counted and had another gang meet me in town to steal it. I called my friend in the police service, and fortunately, they were arrested. The same friend advising me who the one behind it all.”
Moreover, Jeffery mentioned that his best friend’s wife called him three years later to inform him about her husband’s plan to kill him if he failed to help him travel abroad.
“She told me that whenever they had a misunderstanding, my friend would tell him that he would kill me if I didn’t help him. Then I remembered what my friend said at the airport when I was flying out. He commented that if they found drugs in my luggage, he would be a suspect.”
