“I was a club girl. My target was a white man. I went to different clubs in Ghana looking for a white man. I’ve always wanted to give birth to a mixed-race baby. I dated a few before leaving Ghana.

I intentionally booked hotels sometimes hoping to meet a white man. I was an escort for some of the tourists during their stay, but I didn’t have sex with all of them. I ran errands for some of them for money because I was jobless then,” she recounted.

Anita Fuller eventually met her husband on a dating app and got married within a couple of months. She said, “he came to Ghana within six months and did everything including, passports for me and my child.”

I joined him in the US one year later. We were together for six years before our divorce. We had a child together. I was the cause of the divorce. Besides the cultural differences, my former church destroyed my marriage.”

Anita explained that an internet-based church instilled some beliefs in her and this affected her marriage. Anita’s former pastor told her he (ex-husband) was evil.
