CEO of Carline Auto Parts, Kwaku Fosu Asare, has stated that the Ghanaian youth must use social media to keep the government in check instead of discussing unnecessary topics.
In a chat on SVTV Africa with DJ Nyaami, Mr Asare indicated that the Ghanaian youths must hold the government of the day accountable for the country’s development.
“I don’t check my Twitter (X) anymore because it is only useless topics they discuss. I don’t visit the app anymore. Sadly, we have youths that think this way. I ask myself, “Are you foolish?” Ghana owes Eurobond that citizens will pay until 2062.
It is not a crime to discuss Agradaa’s wedding but remember that you have a debt to pay. You will pay until you turn 60 years if you’re 20 today. Many don’t know, but they’d rather discuss Otumfour and Ghana Jollof. You know, many of the youths are fools. You trend useless topics,” he said.
Moreover, the entrepreneur mentioned that the Ghanaian youth must mount pressure on the government of Ghana to hold them accountable for their actions. He advised them to stay in the country and ‘fight’ instead of travelling abroad to work as slaves.
“Leadership has failed us, but just as the Israelites pushed God, who rarely changes his mind to give them food, the youth can also complain for a change. What they (youths) have done is not enough. We don’t complain.
(Getting) a visa is not a miracle, but the prophets will pray for youth to travel abroad to suffer. Look at what we have as a country. Why don’t we stay and build it? Don’t think your problems will be saved if you travel. You’ll return to Ghana, and the problems will have tripled, ” Mr Asare added.
