Popular Ghanaian TikToker/MC Ohemaa Acheampomaa, known for her funny (siiiiiiister) videos, revealed that her ex-boyfriend took her to the US for a visit and fell in love with the country.
In an interview on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Ohemaa disclosed that they visited several countries, but she decided to stay in America and neglected her ex-boyfriend. Her decision affected their relationship and eventually brought it to an end.
“America was not the first country. My ex and I toured many countries before the US, but I swore not to return to Ghana. Many of my family members are in the UK, but I chose to stay in the US. He wanted us to return to Ghana, but I refused.
Why would I return to eat fried yam when I’ve got pizza? I told him I’d join him in Ghana later. We split up in Chicago, and I moved to New York while he went to Ghana. He visited me often until we broke up,” she disclosed.
Speaking on her ‘sister’ videos, Acheampomaa mentioned that it mimics how some Ghanaians act when they first visit the US.
“I’m not saying this to disgrace our people, but it (sister) means a lot. I work in a shop, so I see many of them come by and act that way. Whenever I see them, they call me to attend to them, and I help them out.”
