US-based Ghanaian Michael Asamoah disclosed that his potential girlfriend saw his car and never spoke to him again.
Michael said they had been talking for a while and met for the first time at a Ghanaian event, but she did not contact him after the meeting. Speaking on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Michael indicated that he drove a Honda Civic 2004, but the lady was not impressed.
“In the first few years, I used a Honda Civic 2004. It is considered junk in America because people use expensive cars. A friend introduced her to me, and we had been in contact for a while. We finally met at a program. She was the reason I attended that program. Her friends saw my car and told her about it. They went over to check it out; that was the last time I heard from her,” Michael recounted.
Mr. Asamoah left Ghana after he received a teaching job offer at a middle school in the US. He shared his excitement and the differences between Ghana’s education and the US.
“I kissed the ground when I landed in America. It is possible to get a job offer in the US while in Ghana. The expected salary was $3300. Meanwhile, my salary in Ghana was less than GHS1500. I received about GHS300 every month after taxes and loan deductions. America saved me,” he noted.
