UK-based Ghanaian Millicent Agyemang recounted how her ex-husband betrayed her after she spent over £20,000 in travel expenses to the UK.

In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Millicent revealed that her ex-husband had a prior motive for marrying her. He rented a different apartment intending to bring his ‘side chick’ to the UK within six months in the UK.

“I met him on social media in 2018 and got married traditionally, but I wasn’t present. Soon after, he put pressure on me to bring him here. I had to work multiple jobs to meet the financial requirements for him to obtain the visa.

We drove straight to the post office from the airport for his documents.

Unknown to me, he had rented another apartment within the first six months. I spent over £20,000, but he didn’t give me a cent. He was planning to bring his girlfriend from Ghana,” she recounted.

According to Millicent, he packed out of the house after she confronted him. Moreover, she advised Ghanaian women abroad to be wary of who they meet on social media. The single mother of four believes her ex-husband took advantage of her and her situation.
