UK-based Ghanaian Christina Ama Konadu has stated that she will only visit Ghana during the holidays because she has found ‘gold’ in the UK.

Speaking with SVTV AFRICA’s DJ Nyaami, Christina indicated that she has no plans of returning to Ghana to settle because the UK is much better than Ghana.

In response to how long she plans on staying in the UK, Christina said “I will only come for holidays. I’m not planning on settling there. Who will see gold here and choose to stay in a land of salt? Ghana is a holiday destination. You make the money here and have fun there.

Even those without the natural resources have been able to develop their country. Ghana has many resources but we have not been able to develop our country. Those of us of have given birth here have no plans of returning to Ghana to stay.”

Christina travelled to the UK in 2021 to study Business Management and decided to stay after her studies. Christina spoke about life in the UK; cost of living, rent and more.

“The UK has helped me a lot. My life would have been miserable if I stayed in Ghana. I worked several jobs to fund my education. It wasn’t easy but it helped me,” Christina said on Daily Hustle Worldwide.
