Germany-based Ghanaian Papa Yaw revealed that his wife packed out of their matrimonial home, got pregnant twice but named her the father of the kids.
Speaking with DJ Nyaami on SVTV AFRICA, Papa Yaw indicated that he found out his wife was cheating while she was vacating in Ghana. She refused to stay with him after she returned, and Papa Yaw rented another apartment for her and their 9-year-old.
“Unknowingly, she had another man in Germany while we were still married. Two years later, she came to tell me that she was pregnant. In German law, I’ll be named the father unless the mother says otherwise because we’re not officially divorced.
She lied to the state office that I beat her up, so she could get government support. She now has two kids with that man, but I’m still paying child support because we’re still legally married,” he noted.
According to Papa Yaw, his legal wife has refused to allow him to see his child, and he believes the child is being maltreated.
“The court has not granted us divorce yet, so we’re still legally married. I have visited her family and divorced her the traditional way, but as long as the cost has not granted us the divorce, her kids will bear my name. I’ve not seen my child in almost a year, and he once told me that his mother’s boyfriend beats him up,” he added.
