Germany-based Ghanaian Selena Diary has disclosed that her ex physically and emotionally abused her in their relationship for over a decade.
In a chat on Daily Hustle Worldwide with DJ Nyaami, Selena revealed that they were together for 13 years and she was so much in love with him that she endured all the physical and emotional abuse.
“I loved him so much that I gladly accepted to leave the house whenever he brought his White girlfriend. I had to befriend people just so I could ‘visit’ them and spend the weekend in their houses. I endured it because I had nowhere else to stay,” she said.
According to Selena, whenever she decided to call it quits, her ex-boyfriend would beat her up and apologise later.
“He was the typical ‘Konongo Kaya’ guy. He didn’t want to be with me, but he wouldn’t let me go either. I drank bleach to end it all. It was too much. He would break up with me today, but tomorrow we’re together. I didn’t know where I stood in my life.”
Selena indicated that while going through these issues, they visited a pastor where her ex-boyfriend confessed that “he loves a little bit. He showed his little finger and said that’s how much he loved me. I was hurt.
Mrs Dairy mentioned that they were never married but had a kid together. She finally took a bold step and broke up with him. Selena is happily married now.
