Social media influencer Harry, who is popular on TikTok for his relationship counseling content, has shared strong views on relationships, marriage, and financial responsibility after appearing on SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle Worldwide Show with DJ Nyaami.
During the discussion, Harry spoke about how many women choose partners based on resources, arguing that financial stability plays a major role in family comfort and the future of children. According to him, when resources are ignored in choosing a partner, it is often the children who suffer in the long run.
He explained the difference between hypergamy and gold digging, stressing that the two are not the same. Harry said a hypergamous woman desires a man’s resources in order to help build value, stability, and a solid home for the man, herself, and their children. In contrast, he described a gold digger as someone who seeks a man’s money and property purely for personal enjoyment and luxury, with no intention of building a lasting home.
According to him, a good woman uses a man’s resources to build a family, while a gold digger focuses on expensive lifestyles and may leave once the money reduces. He added that gold diggers are often selfish and may even use children as tools to claim property, while a hypergamous woman encourages her husband to grow and acquire more for the family’s future.
Harry further stated that hypergamous women enter marriage with commitment, while gold diggers often marry but continue looking for wealthier options outside the marriage.
He also advised young men, especially hustlers, to build themselves before marriage. He explained that when a young man is single, it is easier to save and achieve goals such as buying a car, but marriage comes with added responsibilities like household expenses, children’s needs, and spousal care, which can slow personal growth if one is not prepared.
Touching on money and family pressure, Harry warned that once people know you have money, even close relatives may take advantage. He advised giving people time instead of instant financial help, noting that delaying assistance often discourages repeated demands. He also cautioned people abroad against excessive show-off, saying it creates the false impression that life overseas is easy.
According to him, some people abroad borrow phones or luxury items on installment just to impress partners back home, misleading others into believing that money is easily available. He urged people abroad, especially Ghanaians, to be honest about their struggles and stop freely giving out money, as it fuels unrealistic expectations.
Harry also spoke strongly against marrying prostitutes, claiming that when financial stability declines, such marriages become vulnerable because the foundation was money-based. He added that some women who demand payment before intimacy reflect that same mindset.
He concluded by touching on scamming and material showmanship, stating that many scammers come from poor backgrounds and low self-esteem, and use flashy cars and luxury items to prove a point. According to him, many of these assets are sold once money dries up.
Harry ended with a message on discipline and perseverance, emphasizing that consistency is a jewel, and real success comes from steady hard work rather than shortcuts or appearances.
