Christable, a Ghanaian woman currently living between Luxembourg and Medskic, recently shared her emotional life story on SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle Worldwide show with DJ Nyaami.
She recounted that she left Ghana in 2012 for Hong Kong, where she lived for nearly ten years. Growing up in Bohyen, Ghana, she attended Angel Educational Complex and later Ahyia JSS. During her school days, a misunderstanding led her to stop schooling after a fight with a classmate. Determined to make something of herself, she started working at a restaurant in Hong Kong to earn money and return to her boyfriend in Ghana.
While in Hong Kong, her mother went through marital issues, prompting Christbale to return to Ghana just nine days after her mother remarried. After some time back home, she went back to Hong Kong, where her former school tried to reinstate her, but she decided to continue working instead.
Her relationship with her Ghanaian boyfriend ended after a betrayal, and it was during this period that she met her current husband—a Nigerian man pursuing his master’s degree in Hong Kong. He supported her and even bought her a ticket to Ghana to confirm rumors that her ex-boyfriend had impregnated another woman. When she returned, the truth was confirmed, and she officially ended that relationship.
Christable later married her Nigerian partner in court. Despite facing tribal differences and family opposition, their love stayed strong. She described him as a kind, supportive man who even helped her mother before they became a couple.
Tragedy, however, struck when they lost three of their children. “I buried my three children,” she said tearfully. Yet, just six months after that heartbreaking experience, she became pregnant again and gave birth to a beautiful daughter. Her husband eventually secured a good job, and they relocated to Germany, seeking a better environment for their family.
Today, Christable has lived in Germany for four years. Though she hasn’t worked, her husband fully supports her, and together they travel around the world. Through his encouragement and financial support, she earned a high school diploma and a teaching certificate.
She ended her story with a heartfelt message:
“Choose your life partner wisely. If it hadn’t been for my husband, I don’t know how I would have survived. He stood by me through pain, loss, and family rejection.”
