Nii is a Ghanaian truck driver and entrepreneur who owns a trucking company in the United States. He currently operates two trucks with hired drivers but is considering letting go of one.
Nii In am interview with Dj Nyaami on SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle Worldwide show revealed that Before moving abroad, Nii lived at Spintex in Accra but later bought a house at East Legon. He tried different jobs back in Ghana, including selling kenkey. Eventually, he secured his travel documents through marriage. His American wife visited him in Ghana, and they tied the knot. They later bought a house in Texas, where they now live.
Despite their success, Nii admits that trucking has put a strain on his marriage. Spending days on the road while his wife stays at home has created tension between them. He even invested in cryptocurrency at one point, hoping to diversify his income, but personal issues overshadowed his progress.
Nii shared that his wife, while pregnant, became more difficult to deal with, and their disagreements escalated to the point where she took him to court. As a result, he left his car and house for her and still has court dates pending.
Adding to the strain, Nii confessed to cheating “small small,” something his wife suspected. She confronted him, but he denied it. He also mentioned taking a friend to a strip club, something his wife disliked as she is not sociable and doesn’t approve of certain friends coming into their home.
Today, although they still live in the same house, Nii and his wife sleep in separate rooms. They share locations on their phones but live almost like roommates instead of a couple.
Nii’s story highlights both the opportunities and challenges that come with life abroad—financial growth through trucking, but also personal battles that money alone cannot solve.
