Ewurafua Appiah: Young Ghanaian Entrepreneur Thriving in Spain
Ewurafua Appiah, a Ghanaian based in Spain, recently reappeared on SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle Worldwide show with DJ Nyaami.
At just 25 years old in Spain , she has successfully opened a restaurant in Spain, where she sells a wide variety of African foods and drinks, including alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and traditional favorites like litto.
Sharing her experience, Ewurafua described Spain as a beautiful and tourist-friendly country. “I always advise people that Spain is better when it comes to salaries and rent. In Germany, the cost of living is far higher. I know some boys who left Spain for Germany but eventually returned,” she explained.
She added that business opportunities are growing in Spain, with many Africans engaging in container shipping, trade, and other ventures. “Even Indians here are thriving in their businesses,” she observed.
Ewurafua revealed her plans to visit Ghana in June this year after spending one and a half months in Spain. She compared the business climate, saying: “When I was in Ghana, things were tough because the currency had depreciated. But here in Spain, I’ve been able to manage better. Last year, food items in Spain were even cheaper compared to Ghanaian market prices.”
Offering advice to others, she said: “If you are planning to travel, don’t think negatively. Have patience, don’t envy your brother, and even when people plan against you, you will succeed if you stay sincere. And if you can accommodate others, try to do so.”
