Camille, a Ghanaian-American who was adopted at birth, recently appeared on SVTV Africa’s Connect segment. Through the show, she was able to locate her biological parents. She first found her father, a police officer based in Ghana., and just recently, she has also been able to connect with her biological mother who currently lives in Ghana.
Camille confirmed that after speaking with her mother and asking personal questions, she is confident it’s truly her. The emotional reunion has sparked a strong mother-daughter bond between them. “We had a brief conversation, and she’s just as excited as I am,” Camille shared.
She has informed her father about finding her mother, and both parents are happy about the reunion. Camille expressed her joy at finally connecting with both sides of her family. She added, “When I visit Ghana, I look forward to meeting her in person.”
Camille has been spending more time getting to know her father and is now beginning to build a relationship with her mother as well. She thanked SVTV Africa and its viewers for helping her through the journey, admitting she didn’t believe it was possible at first.
She also mentioned that her adoptive parents—whom she calls her first parents—are equally happy for her. Although her biological mother prefers to stay out of the public eye, the family has quietly reunited through DJ Nyaami’s platform, and Camille is grateful for the opportunity.
