Nana Agyei shares his remarkable journey from humble beginnings as a plumber in Ghana to owning seven apartments and a car, all while living between Ghana and New York. His story is one of perseverance, faith, and a deep connection to his roots.
On SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle Worldwide show with DJ Nyaami, Nana Agyei shared how he started out young, renting his first house at age 21 while still working as an apprentice. At one point, he gave his last Ghana cedis to help friends secure a visa and plane ticket to Canada—only for those same friends to later betray him. Despite the setbacks, including sleeping in shops and on bare floors, he never gave up and continued to push forward with determination.
In Ghana, he washed his boss’s car just to stay useful, never imagining that years later, he would be buying his own. Plumbing became his lifeline. Through dedication and hustle, he rose from the streets of Accra to the skyline of New York. Yet, even after being gifted a car by his sister in the U.S., Ghana still holds his heart.
He has trained many young men for free and always given back to the streets he came from. Though life in America offers comfort, he believes real purpose awaits him back home. Nana plans to return to Ghana, scale up his ventures, and continue building—not just properties, but lives.
