Deniz Block Factory, located at Fuotunya-Mateheko near Millennium City Junction in Kasoa, is making a strong impact in Ghana’s construction sector. The factory, co-owned by Turkish Nuredeen and his brothers, has been operating in Ghana for the past 20 months. Originally from Turkey, Nuredeen says Ghana is the first African country he has visited—and now, it’s home to his thriving block-making business.
“At Deniz, we produce between 4,000 and 7,000 blocks daily, depending on the demand. On good days, we even reach up to 10,000 blocks in 6 hours,” Nuredeen shared. “Back in Turkey, I wasn’t in the block business, but after discussions with my brother, we saw an opportunity in Ghana. The weather is hot, the people are warm, and the construction sector is booming.”
The factory manufactures 4-inch, 5-inch, and 6-inch solid and hollow blocks. Business has grown steadily, leading to the opening of a second branch at Dawhenya. They operate from morning until 2–3 pm, offering both deliveries and walk-in sales.
“We supply 3,000–4,000 blocks daily, and our team handles delivery ourselves,” Nuredeen explained.
According to him, there’s real money in Ghana—especially in construction.
“Even in Turkey, construction is profitable. The same goes for Ghana. We invest in quality raw materials like cement, sand, and stones to ensure strong, durable blocks.”
Quality and Trust Win Customers
Quincy Ford, the Sales and Marketing Manager at Deniz Block Factory, emphasized the company’s reputation for quality.
“We use only the best cement and materials, which has earned us many loyal customers,” he said. “We even offer credit to some of our regular clients, though payments are typically due within a month.”
Quincy praised the trust the owners have in their workers, sharing how he joined the company.
“I didn’t know them personally, but I asked for a job, and they trusted me. That kind of opportunity is rare. Some Ghanaians don’t support each other like that.”
He added that the factory sometimes sells out within a day or two.
“We produce 6-inch solid blocks and they’re gone within 5 days—sometimes in just 2 days. The demand is high because construction in Ghana is booming.”
Deniz Block Factory continues to grow, proving that with the right mindset, trust, and quality products, foreign businesses can thrive in Ghana—and create jobs for locals in the process.
