Lily Mensah who is popuarly know as Mama Lee , who has previously been interviewed by DJ Nyaami, the CEO and founder of SVTV Africa on Daily Hustle Worldwide show, shared her thoughts on various life issues and experiences.

During the interview, Mama Lee reminisced about the joy of Christmas, noting that her birthday falls on December 25th, making the celebrations even more special.

She also expressed her perspective on life abroad, marriage, and raising children.

Mama Lee reflected on how some
Borgas, lie to their wives out of fear of losing them. She observed that when wives join their husbands abroad, greed can often strain relationships, leading to mistreatment.

She mentioned that if her husband had taken her to Europe, she would have worked hard to support him out of gratitude for his efforts.

Having been divorced and single for eight years, Mama Lee revealed that she is content with her single life, saying,

“I’m very happy being single; I don’t want any man to disturb my peace.”

However, she acknowledged that for a marriage to work, one partner must be willing to humble themselves, as “two captains can’t stay on one ship.”

Mama Lee cautioned against relying too heavily on friends abroad, as bad friendships can ruin marriages and lives.

She advised visitors to avoid overstaying their welcome unless they are ready to contribute financially to household expenses like utility bills.

She also highlighted the challenges of living under government support systems.

For instance, buying a car while receiving government benefits could lead to deportation if reported by jealous friends.

Additionally, she pointed out that some mothers abroad focus solely on having multiple children for government benefits, which often leaves them overworked and unable to care for themselves or their children. This, she said, results in “wretched-looking mothers” and poorly disciplined children.

Mama Lee criticized the lack of parental authority in some families abroad, which she believes leads to poorly behaved children.

She attributed this to social systems that often intervene in parenting, making it difficult for parents to discipline their children effectively.

Mama Lee advised people to rely less on the advice of older acquaintances (
old brodas) and instead conduct their own research when seeking solutions.

She also warned against frequenting popular spots or fun parks if one’s immigration status is uncertain, as it could attract unnecessary attention from authorities.

In conclusion, Mama Lee’s interview was a blend of wisdom, personal experiences, and advice for those navigating life abroad.

She emphasized the importance of gratitude, discipline, and humility in relationships and life in general.
