Poundz, a Ghanaian barber based in the UK disclosed that he had $63,000 before leaving Ghana and would not have left if he had known about the UK system.

In an interview with SVTV Africa with DJ Nyaami, Pounds expressed that he felt quite at home in Ghana prior to embarking on his journey. He owned multiple properties and had approximately $63,000 saved in his bank account, providing him with a sense of financial security before making the move to the UK.

However, Poundz conveyed that his experience in the UK has not lived up to his expectations. He remarked that the reality of life in the UK was quite different from what he had envisioned. In hindsight, he admitted that he would have reconsidered his decision to relocate had he been fully aware of how the UK system operates and the challenges it presents.

“I had my business and lived comfortably in Ghana but I slept at a train station when I first got to the UK. My skills as a barber helped me get a job easily, otherwise I would have suffered a lot here in the UK.”
