Young Ghanaian Kwame stated that travelling abroad had no beneficial influence on his life and expressed gladness for returning home.

In a recent interview, Kwame shared his experiences with DJ Nyaami, he recounted his journey to the United Arab Emirates in 2020, where he anticipated many opportunities. However, the reality of working in a foreign country soon opened his eyes to the significant potential in Ghana.

Kwame reflected on his two-year stay in Dubai, describing it as a challenging period that made him appreciate home more deeply. He compared his experiences in the UAE to the opportunities he found back in Ghana, asserting that the latter was far more fulfilling for him.

He said, “As youths in Ghana, we perceive that we can only succeed abroad. I believed in that too and left for Dubai when I could. I got a job in Dubai alright but the pay was not what I expected. I earned more on the streets in Ghana.”

Despite receiving warnings from friends and family against moving back, Kwame expressed gratitude for trusting his intuition and staying true to his choices. In his view, the decision to return was one of the best he ever made, as it allowed him to thrive in an environment he truly values.
