Canada-based Ghanaian Nana Yaa Yeboah disclosed that her former marriage was one of her biggest mistakes. The marriage lasted only 5 months, and looking back, she realized there were numerous red flags which she had overlooked.

Speaking on SVTV Africa, Nana Yaa indicated that they were in a long-distance relationship for a while before their marriage. Her ex-husband lived in Ghana but he had plans of joining her in Canada. According to Miss Yeboah, her ex-husband’s attitude changed soon after marriage.

Nana Yaa told SVTV Africa’s DJ Nyaami that her ex-husband exhibited narcissistic traits, such as a sense of entitlement and a lack of empathy. She expressed that marrying him was a decision she deeply regretted, considering it the most significant mistake of her life.

“That (former marriage) was the sorriest mistake I ever made. I would ask him a question but he would get angry and talk to me. The communication was not good. The red flags were too many. I realised he wanted to control me with the lack of communication,” she recalled.
