Marilyn, a Ghanaian based in Germany disclosed that she has had four plastic surgeries within three years; Gastric sleeve, silicon implants, lipo and tummy tuck.
According to Marilyn, she weighed 97 kilos before the surgeries and felt uncomfortable. Speaking with DJ Nyaami on SVTV Africa, she spent €7500 (₵132,000) on all four surgeries in Turkey excluding flight tickets.
“I feel amazing now. Yes, because I was at a point where I felt unhappy whenever I looked in the mirror while naked. It weighed me down psychologically because I was still young but I wasn’t confident about being naked in front of man. It bothered me so much and I decided to go on with the surgery,” she responded on how she feels now.
“I did not do it to please men. My ex was okay with how I looked but I wasn’t comfortable. I did it for myself to feel confident. It is not to anyone,” she added.
Marilyn first got the Gastric sleeve surgery; 80% of her stomach was cut off leaving a tube-shaped stomach about the size of a banana. After, Marilyn had three other surgeries at a go.
