Tamimu, a Ghanaian based in the US shared how his Black American wife treated him like a slave and insisted on signing his documents for him.
Speaking with DJ Nyaami on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Tamimu mentioned that they married in Ghana and eventually relocated to the US to live with his wife. However, according to him, she changed and was treated differently.
“We met online, and she visited me in Ghana twice before we married. Soon after, I joined her in the US, but things changed. She took my cheque when I had not asked her to. We created a joint account, but I realized she was a spendthrift. I didn’t complain because she was the reason I came here, but it got worse.
My wife became overprotective. She wanted to treat me like a slave and slapped me because I told him not to sign my documents. She did it three times and even wanted to sign my permit. She slapped me in front of our neighbours, scratched my face with her nails and threw her phone at me but I didn’t react.”
Tamimu and his wife have been together since 2014 and recently separated. They have no kids together. Tamimu currently lives with his two girls from a previous marriage.
