“I haven’t changed my mind about not returning to Ghana. I would rather stay here and be beaten in the riots than return to Ghana. I’m scared for my life and I can’t go out. I live in a White-dominated community, so it’s worse here.

Three protesters approached me at a shopping mall recently and I told them off and left. Despite all this happening, I haven’t had a change of mind. I still stand on my grounds. I won’t leave the UK for Ghana.”

According to CBC News on July 31, British police charged a 17-year-old with murder over a stabbing attack that left three girls dead and several others in critical condition in Southport. This has caused outrage among the citizens leading to the protests and riots.
