Lovia Yeboah, a Ghanaian based in the US disclosed that she made over $5000 monthly working as a care worker but quit to become a truck driver.

In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Lovia mentioned that she has always been interested in improving herself and researched other opportunities available to her in the US. Despite a less-than-impressive educational background, Lovia had an insatiable love for learning new things.

Lovia started her new life in the US as a live-in care worker. She worked in the care field for years, earning a substantial amount, but decided to quit to pursue her passion.

“I have worked as a care worker for 4 years and my last job paid $2800 every two weeks. That’s $5600 a month. I make less as a truck driver because I’m new but it will increase after a year,” she said on SVTV AFRICA.

Currently, Lovia is the only known Ghanaian female truck driver in the US. Moreover, she spoke on truck driving.

“To be a truck driver here is almost the same as learning to become a doctor or police. There are numerous qualifications and assessments that you need to complete. You can’t pass if you’re not focused. I almost gave up but they encouraged me. I’ve always been interested in men-dominated fields.
