Davis Krobea-Asante, a Ghanaian based in the UK revealed that he had a child with another woman in the UK while his wife was in Ghana and never disclosed it to her until she arrived in the UK.
In an SVTV AFRICA interview with DJ Nyaami, Mr Krobea-Asante mentioned that he could not visit Ghana during the first decade of his time in the UK due to documentation issues. Moreover, he feared his wife would divorce him if he confessed to her and waited till, she joined him in the UK.
“I visited Ghana for the first time in 2014 and brought my wife to the UK in 2018. Living alone all those years was difficult, so I dated and had a child. I confessed everything to her after she arrived and told her why I didn’t tell her.
But she couldn’t understand me and I realised she was trying to make me suffer for it. We separated before his first year in the UK. I haven’t spoken to her since she left because I couldn’t trust her. She demonstrated some things to me and I just had to leave her be.”
Davis added that he had filed for his three kids in Ghana to join him but stopped them from coming after their separation. Davis mentioned that he couldn’t bring teenagers into a broken home.
