In an SVTV Africa interview, Mr Mensah revealed that they met online while he was in Ghana and visited her in Finland after a few months in the talking stage. Phillip planned to return to Ghana but she refused and convinced him to stay.

“We got married and were together for a while until our separation. They believe in equal responsibilities. She would put clothes in the machine and leave them for me to dry.

I sometimes cooked for her friends on Friday night and couldn’t handle all that national service. We separated on a Friday and by Monday, my ATM was blocked. She froze my account. I got my account back just four years ago,” he recounted.

Mr Mensah advised people against setting up a joint account with their partners due to his experience.

On life in Finland and his career, Phillp mentioned that he previously worked with the Helsinki International Airport for 12 years as a Chef and Consultant.
