UK-based Ghanaian Maame Esi stated that she would prefer to date a man who fully discloses his relationship status than one who lies about it to date her.
In a Daily Hustle Worldwide interview with DJ Nyaami, Esi revealed that she is currently in a casual relationship with a married man whose wife lives in Ghana. She’d prefer a man who tells her the truth than a man who claims to be single.
Maame Esi mentioned that her ex-boyfriend cheated on her but she was unable to break up with him because of the fear of starting over. She said, “If you propose love to me, don’t tell me you’re single. Tell me you’re in a relationship but you want me or you just want fun.
Accepting to be with you depends on me but don’t tell me you’re single. I liked a married man here and we had fun. He told me his wife was in Ghana. I told him we’d talk as friends but if we feel for it and it happens, it happens.”
According to Maame Esi, she has not been in a serious relationship since she broke up with her ex-boyfriend because most men who have expressed interest in her are married.
