UK-based Ghanaian Comfort disclosed that her brother offered to sleep with her in exchange for paying the cost of travelling to the UK.
In a chat with DJ Nyaami on SVTV Africa, Comfort narrated the story of her first few years in the UK. She revealed that her brother’s wife threatened to divorce him if she did not leave their home.
“Three days after I arrived in the UK, I met a British man who expressed interest in marrying me. I didn’t have a phone at the time, so he got me one but my brother sent me far away from where we met and took the phone.
I went through a lot in the hands of my siblings. I owed the agent who brought me to the UK and I couldn’t pay because I was jobless and none of my siblings helped me get a job. So my biological brother offered to pay off the debt if I had sex with him.”
Comfort mentioned that she told her other siblings but they did not believe her until later. She was thrown out yet again and had no alternative but to move in with her ex-husband.
