Mr George, a retired Customs Officer, revealed that he could not complete his house within his 30 years of work in Ghana, but he had to travel to the UK to complete it.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Mr George indicated that his salary was insufficient to complete his house despite the perception that Customs Officers are ‘rich.’
“I worked in London for five years intermittently before I could complete my house. My house was at a foundation level before I first travelled. I worked abroad for five years all together to complete the house.”
Moreover, Mr George debunked the perception that Customs Officers are rich. He worked in the accounting department in several regions of the country.
“My retirement bonus is okay because most of my responsibilities have been taken care of. I’m in the US for a visit now.”
