UK-based Ghanaian Obudo has stated that it is understandable why some Ghanaians sell their properties to travel abroad, as success in Ghana is not guaranteed.

“Let us set the record straight. Ghana is not a success-guaranteed country. There are people with thriving businesses or jobs in Ghana, but their kids are a concern. It is 100% guaranteed that your child will get a job after studying in the UK. How many of our graduates in Ghana are unemployed?

Look at rent costs in Ghana. I’ll never blame anyone who sells their properties to travel abroad, but my advice is to use the right path. Whatever job you get here, you may struggle for the first two years, but you will surely make your money back,” he said.

Obudo lost a major investment in Ghana but was able to recover because he works and resides in the UK. He added that his life would have been destroyed if he lived in Ghana.
