Qwame Stars, a Ghanaian based in the UAE, disclosed that he left behind his salon to travel abroad and sometimes contemplates returning to Ghana.
In a Daily Hustle Worldwide interview, Kwame indicated that he witnessed people leaving Ghana to pursue opportunities elsewhere, and this influenced him to consider travelling as well. However, he did not know how difficult it would be to start a life in another country.
Qwame pays over GHS7000 for rent and bills in Dubai. Speaking of his life in Ghana, Qwame mentioned that he decided to leave school to pursue a career as a barber. He was a barber for 15 years and was quite comfortable in Ghana.
Qwame wasn’t motivated to pursue further education due to the high number of unemployed graduates in his community.
Despite the seldom thoughts of returning to his business in Ghana, Qwame added that he would not return to Ghana because “there is nothing for me to do there. I want to travel beyond the UAE and eventually return to my home country when I have some properties.”
