Harriet Oppong disclosed that her father brought her to Australia but threw her out six months later for revealing his secret to his wife (Harriet’s mother).
The Australia-based Ghanaian mentioned that her mother lived in Ghana and was still married but realised that he had been cheating on her for years.
In an interview on SVTV Africa, Mrs Oppong indicated that her father swore her to secrecy after she arrived in Australia but she broke that promise. As a result, she was thrown out of the house six months later.
“I appreciate him so much for bringing me to Australia. I knew he was still married to my mother, so I found it weird for him to shut me up about his lifestyle. He is a womaniser always on dating sites telling people about his sexual escapades.
I got married a virgin, and so it was uncomfortable to see him bring women to the house. He got angry after I told my mother and eventually threw me out. Sometimes, I had to scream for them to leave the house. I was not happy in the house until I left the house,” she explained.
According to Harriet, she was emotionally distressed while living with his father. Harriet added that she does not speak to her father anymore, but “I can’t be close to him anymore.”
