Emmanuel Osei Bonsu, a Ghanaian living in the US, stated that he would not risk sponsoring his wife to the US and would rather relocate to Ghana.

In a Daily Hustle Worldwide interview with DJ Nyaami, Emmanuel indicated that some wives only marry ‘borgas’ because they could travel abroad and eventually divorce them after they have arrived.

As a result, Emmanuel has decided to either move to Ghana permanently or his wife would have to “find her way here.”

“If I marry a woman who lives here, I won’t lose anything because I didn’t have to spend on bringing you to the US. It is a big problem among Ghanaians abroad. Some women accept to date ‘borgas’ for an opportunity to travel.

If I marry a woman in Ghana, she will stay in Ghana. You were in Ghana when we met, and we don’t have to live together to be married. Otherwise, I will move to Ghana. She can’t visit me here either. My parents brought me, so your parents can bring you too,” he said on SVTV Africa.

Emmanuel would rather start a business for his wife in Ghana than risk their marriage by bringing her to the US.
