UK-based Ghanaian Georgina Otoo revealed that she had to beg her Scottish husband for a child for six months and became a slave to him.
Speaking on SVTV Africa, Georgina mentioned that her husband (now separated) acted like a child and often fled when she needed help in the house. According to Georgina, her husband only married her “to shut his family up and not for kids.”
“He told me that his family bothered him about marriage, so it was just to shut them up. So I begged him for over six months because I couldn’t just get pregnant. It had to be a mutual understanding.
He bought a house for me on my 25th birthday in Ghana. With the frustrations of the marriage, we argued and sent me to Ghana. I decided not to return, but he begged me to come for us to try having a baby.”
Madam Otoo told DJ Nyaami that after she became pregnant, her husband demanded that she sell the house in Ghana or abort the child.
“A week before my operation, I had to fly to Ghana to sell the house to the same company before I had my first daughter. Everything he promised to give me after the delivery was not fulfilled. I became a slave in the house. He would jump out the window whenever I asked him to help me around the house.”
They separated in 2013, but he has refused to give her a divorce since then. Moreover, he has taken the kids away from her and has turned them against her.
