Ghanaian entrepreneur Kwame Fosu Asare has stated that parents must quit forcing their children into marriage because it is outdated and often kills many.

Speaking on SVTV Africa with DJ Nyaami, the CEO of Carline Auto Parts, mentioned that parents do not allow their children to find their feet and often push them into marriage immediately after they get a stable job. He added that the rush into commitment breaks some people.

“When a youth finds a stable job, family members put pressure on them to get married or go to church. You’ll fail if you’re not strong enough. I tell my wife always that marriage is outdated. Marriage has become a problem for us. I don’t mean you should not marry, but it is not a poor man’s business.

If you have just started life, forget about marriage. As a lady, you can have a baby with a man who can take care of you and your baby, even if he’s married. Marriage doesn’t help anymore. It’s killing people. Can’t you live your life without a partner?” Mr Asare quizzed.

Moreover, the entrepreneur reiterated that Ghanaian youths must focus on establishing themselves before getting married. He said, ”Any woman without a job or money but plans to get married plans to kill. Work for your money.”
