Abuburo Nkosua, a Ghanaian living in the UK, disclosed that many Ghanaian nurses/care workers who recently traveled to the UK may resort to sex work because there are no jobs available for nurses now.

Speaking on Daily Hustle Workwdie with DJ Nyaami, Abuburo Nkosua indicated that he would never advise a Ghanaian youth to travel to the UK, especially, nurses because there are little or no jobs for them. As a result, many will resort to sex work.

“The agent lies to them, but there are no jobs here. Many are currently jobless. I can confidently say many women will get pregnant this year because they think that’s how to get ‘nkrataa.’ I know someone who gave birth here, but she is preparing to return to Ghana because she is jobless.

And because they are jobless, they won’t be able to pay rent and would perch with someone. That person may demand sex from them. That’s what many hosts do. The nurses will get pregnant a lot this year. Everyone I meet needs a job,” he explained.

According to Abuburo, the travel agents lie to these nurses while some (nurses) also pay to travel due to desperation. He advised the youths to avoid paying huge amounts to travel agents and start a business in Ghana.
