Spain-based Ghanaian Solomon Effah has stated that his biggest regret is sponsoring his wife to Europe because she refused to help him in trying times.
Speaking on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Solomon revealed that his car accident, he could not work many hours as before and needed his wife’s support in paying rent. However, she declined and told him she would rent her own than support him financially.
In response to whether it’s better to marry a Ghanaian in Europe or one living in Ghana, Solomon said, “choose the one born in Europe. I’ve had a bad experience, and it’s my biggest regret. I sponsored her trip to join me here together with our kids.
I was involved in an accident soon after they came. So it was tough for us, and I suggested that she helps with the rent. She told me she would rather rent her own space than help me pay our rent.
Solomon mentioned that they still live together but are not on good terms. He disclosed that their families are discussing the matter and “divorce is on the way.”
Solomon advised other Ghanaians against travelling to Ghana for a partner because they can never tell if they’re genuine.
