US-based Ghanaian Akosua Milly has revealed that she found out that her baby daddy was married during their wedding preparation.
In a chat on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Akosua indicated they were planning their married but had it cancelled when she found out about his marriage. Akosua was already pregnant with their first child and planned to abort it.
“My family were against the abortion, so I stopped. I asked him if he was married when we first met, but he said no. It was too late when I found out, but I had to cancel the wedding. His ex-wife divorced him on the day of our cancelled wedding. I went into a state of depression. I contemplated suicide,” she disclosed.
According to Akosua, she moved out of her apartment to stay in a house they bought. With the difficulties in renting an apartment in the US, Akosua decided to move in with him.
“I didn’t want to, but I had to. He pleaded with my family and promised to take responsibility for me and the child. As we lived together, we got pregnant again. We spoke about marriage again, but you know men. We’re not dating, but we live together in our home as co-parents,” she added.
