Belgium-based Ghanaian Sophia has disclosed that her ex-husband cheated on her because she gained weight after childbirth.
In a chat on SVTV AFRICA, Sophia stated she gave birth in Belgium while her husband was in Ghana. A few months after, Sophia returned to spend time with her husband and their newborn, but he was not thrilled as expected.
“I was coming to spend five months in Ghana, but those months were like hell. I was skinny before, so he didn’t like that I gained weight and cheated on me. That’s what he told my family and his friends.
It was a struggle in those five months. Immediately I landed at the Belgium airport, I decided it would be my daughter and I against the world and fight for her,” she told DJ Nyaami.
According to Sophia, she decided to divorce him and stick to her daughter alone. Speaking on their relationship, the single mother mentioned that they dated for five years and were married for three.
“Everything changed after I travelled because we had a great relationship,” she added.
