UK-based Ghanaian Wendy Serwaa has revealed that her ex-husband physically abused her, but she could not report him because of their kids.
Speaking on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Wendy revealed that several events led to their divorce. She waited to see a change for the sake of the kids, but the change never came.
“It was different events, and they had piled up, so I was frustrated. My ex-husband beat me up, but I wasn’t pressing charges because he was the father of my children. I can’t do that to him. In all of it, I was protecting him.
Eventually, we got a divorce. We planned to build a house in Ghana, but he had sent the documents to another lady in Germany,” she said.
Moreover, Wendy disclosed that her ex-husband cheated on her multiple times, left their home and called for a break.
“One time, a friend called and asked if I was divorced. At the time, I was pregnant with our third child. She told me that my husband was on Facebook live with another lady sitting on his lap,” Wendy added.
According to the mother of five, she mustered the courage to divorce him after the third baby and moved on with another man after a while.
