Switzerland-based Ghanaian Josephine Tetteh has stated that she will not marry a man living in Ghana only to bring him to Switzerland for several reasons.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Josephine indicated that the language barrier and financial burden of living with an immigrant are difficult.
Moreover, Josephine mentioned that it would be tough to take care of him until he settles in, and the man may feel too proud to depend on his wife.
“You can learn the language, but it will take a while. You have to pay health insurance and all. If I’m not in a better position to take care of him, how are we going to survive?
Even if I have a good job to bring in a man to live with men, he may become frustrated, especially when he lived a comfortable life in Ghana. He is a man, but he’d have to ask you for the little things he may need. So he wouldn’t like it,”
According to the single mother, she would prefer to date and eventually marry a man living in Switzerland than Ghana for the reasons stated above.
Speaking on life in the European country, Josephine revealed that they earn good salaries but the cost of living is high. She also mentioned that Switzerland is not a country for immigrants to ‘hustle’ mainly due to the language barrier.
