Charcoal seller Tina Korangel has disclosed that her family has denied her communication with her son living abroad severally and even told him that she is deceased.
In an interview on Daily Hustle on SVTV Africa, Tina revealed that she lost contact with her son two decades ago after she separated from her abusive husband.
Madam Tina acknowledged that she did not reach out to her ex-husband after the separation. Eventually, her son travelled to the US, but he was told his mother was no more.
“It’s a long story. After the separation, I didn’t reach out to them. Later. I heard my son was married to a white lady. My family intentionally did that. They’ve stopped him from reaching out to him.
I heard he called one of my sister’s children, but they told him I was dead.
That’s why he stopped calling. My ex-husband even gave his number to my family back home, but they did not give it to me. He should be 37 years by now. He travelled about 19 years ago,” she told DJ Nyaami.
Tina reiterated that she has not heard from her son since he travelled abroad and would wish to hear from him. She gave her son’s name as Kwame Safo.
