“2% of 400 Ghanaians in Vietnam enjoy the kind of life Achabu has. I can say only 5 Ghanaians live that life,” he said.

Speaking with SVTV Africa’s DJ Nyaami, Mr. Mensah indicated that many Ghanaians are frustrated with no shelter. Besides that, some of the Vietnamese men take advantage of the women in the name of providing accommodation for them.

Mr Mensah mentioned that the Southeast Asian country is no place to work for black people. According to Mr. Mensah, blacks are unappreciated unlike whites.

“I had to ride a motorbike through winter to teach in 8 different schools, all for $1000. Before the pandemic when the whites were around, there were no jobs for blacks,” he added.

Mr. Mensah disclosed that his journey was not a fruitful one. Now, he has to settle a debt of GHS25K borrowed for his documentation to Vietnam.
