Coronavirus: Some Ghanaians React On Incoming Vaccine

A section of the Ghanaian people was questioned on the use of hand sanitisers and the vaccine yet to arrive in Ghana.

The inquiry was done at Lapaz in Accra on SVTV Africa. The section interviewed are traders and they had some intriguing answers to share.

Most of them seem to have accepted the conspiracy theories that have gone viral. They believe that the vaccine would rather kill more people as speculated hence the decision to boycott it.

Very few of the people, however, agreed to be vaccinated if it has already been tested.

Host, Ayisha Bayipa further asked why their masks are not often worn and protocol not adhered to.

The few people seen without their nose disclosed they don’t need to because the customers often wear the mask. According to them, it prevents the risk of being infected.

Others however religiously follow the measures put in place.

To conclude, this indicates that most of the citizens still do not understand the dangers of the deadly virus. As 50% of the people interviewed still believe conspiracy theories as to facts.
What the country needs is education targeted at the masses if the fight against covid-19 will be a success.
