Lady Sledge, a musician based in the UK stated that men in the music industry exploited her because she needed help as an upcoming artiste. 

In a chat on Daily Hustle Worldwide with DJ Nyaami, Lady Sledge recently opened up about her experiences in the music industry, shedding light on the challenges she faced as an emerging artist.

Despite her passion and dedication to her craft, she revealed that men in the industry took advantage of her vulnerability during her early years. As she sought guidance and opportunities to grow her career, she found herself in situations where she felt exploited by those who were supposed to support and mentor her. 

Lady Sledge’s story highlights the struggles many female musicians encounter as they navigate a predominantly male-dominated environment, emphasizing the need for greater accountability and support for aspiring artists.

Over time, the trauma from these encounters led her to develop a defensive and damaging attitude toward men in general. She recounted instances of verbal abuse that she directed toward any man she encountered, stemming from the pain and betrayal she had endured.
