One-half of the X Factor duo Reggie N Bollie, Reggie Zippy, revealed that his mother’s death affected his mental health, which ultimately caused his divorce from his wife of 15 years, Edith Ward.
In an exclusive on SVTV Africa with DJ Nyaami, Reggie disclosed that his mother’s death took a toll on him, mentally and on his marriage. According to Reggie, he could not handle the pain of losing his dear mother and could not juggle being a father and the only son of his late mom.
“My mental health dipped big time. There were times that I had checked out. I was gone, but I also had to deal with the funeral preparations. I am the only son, and I have to stay strong for her. I believe my ex-wife got worried because of how her death affected me.
She did her best as a wife and mother, but unfortunately, not everyone can withstand a battle like that. Notwithstanding, she was and will always be a very driven and hard-working woman. All marriages have issues. I wish we could have dealt with things differently, but I was in a different frame of mind. My mom was a massive reason why we got married in the first place.”
Reggie implied that he lost trust in women after his women, but his new girlfriend has restored that trust.
