Canada-based Ghanaian Danny Tagor has stated that the Nigerian YouTuber should not have apologised for his comments on international students in the UK.

In an interview on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Danny indicated that the Youtuber, Emdee Tiamiyu was not wrong and should not have apologised. He added that the African youths must change their mindset and look for sustainable solutions for the continent.

“He wasn’t wrong. Aren’t there schools in Africa? Why do you want to bring your family in whiles schooling abroad? When will we make our schools good enough for them to study here too? He is not the reason for the ban. The Whites have made their decision, and what he said had no impact on their decision,” he noted.

A few days ago, Nigerian Youtuber Emdee Tiamiyu granted an interview on the BBC and revealed that many Africans who travel to the UK on a study visa do not go to study. He added that they use the study route as a ticket to enter the country.

Moreover, Danny mentioned that the youths who were furious about his comment and dragged him on social media must channel their energies on developing the African continent.

“Let’s channel that energy into our governments and see what happens. Why are you crying when your slave master denies you entry into their country?

What solutions are you searching for in your country? The leaders were once the youth, and they complained about previous governments, but they’re doing the same thing. What change will we bring when we gain power,” he quizzed.

According to Mr Tagor, he felt ashamed when he saw the backlash from Africans on social media.
