Business coach and entrepreneur, Ekow Eshun has urged unemployed graduates to ditch their degrees and learn a skill that can fetch them money.
In an exclusive with SVTV Africa’s DJ Nyaami, Mr Eshun indicated that it will be a waste of time and effort for one to go through senior high school and the university for their parents to still cater for them.
According to him, it would be better to abandon their school certificates to learn something new because the government cannot create jobs for them.
“If you have been jobless for the past two years, throw that certificate away and learn something new. If your mom sells at the market, rebrand it and post it on social media. You can make money out of it,” Mr Eshun stated.
Moreover, he mentioned socialite Hajia Bintu and footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, stating that “she is using what she has and now Hajia has a million followers on tiktok. Those who bash her are wrong. Ronald is also using his leg to make money.”
Mr Eshun also spoke of the Ghanaian education system, a rating that is archaic and needs to be updated. He believes that entrepreneurship should be a course in senior high school to help students make a better career choices.
