UK-based Ghanaian artiste Rawlings Nii Armah Adams, well-known as Raskimbobo has stated that he does not perform at Ghanaian events because they cannot afford him.

Speaking on SVTV Africa, Raskimbobo indicated that most black event organizers offer less than white event organizers. According to him, the Ghanaian events often see him as undeserving of that amount.

“I don’t go because they can’t afford me. That is the fact. No Ghanaian event organizer in the UK can pay me. Whenever a Ghanaian promoter wants you as an artist to perform, they will ask you whether you are Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, or Stonebwoy,” he said.

Raskimbobo told DJ Nyaami that UK-based event organizers often pay the Ghanaian artistes more than them.

“If you are giving Shatta Wale and Stoneebwoy 5000 and 10,000 pounds, but because I’m here with you, you want to give me 200 pounds. That is why I don’t perform there because they cannot afford to pay,” he added.

Aside from music, Raskimbobo is an Acrobat. According to Raskimbobo, he has decided to hide his music side because acrobatics pay more in the UK than music.
